An entire arsenal of explosives was seized and destroyed by members of the Peruvian National Police.

Information arrived at the 105 central about the discovery of explosive material, apparently illegal, in a mining camp.

The head of the Police Region of Huancavelica, Colonel PNP Eloy Lara Bendezú, stated that they handle two hypotheses, the first that the material has been irresponsibly abandoned by a miner who worked there until recently and the other that informal miners also did work in said place after the withdrawal of the formal company.

They found 1,008 units of Exsa Emulex 80 dynamite cartridges, orange in color; 73 units of Exsa Emuler 45 dynamite sticks, blue and three (03) Amulnor 50 dynamite sticks, yellow.

The police officer stated that there was a high risk that this dangerous explosive material would fall into the wrong hands, such as terrorists, common or inexperienced criminals who do not know how to handle it properly and generate an unwanted explosion.

“If it had fallen into the hands of terrorist or common criminals, it would have caused irreparable damage to people and property; and if it had been found by citizens of the place who were unaware of its manipulation and there would have been great magnitude damage, ”said the police officer.
