Hematologist Kenya Miller indicates that hemophilia occurs in most cases in men

The pediatrician and hematologist, Kenya Miller, explained this Wednesday what hemophilia is, indicating that it is generally a hereditary issue.

“Hemophilia comes from the moment of conception (birth), it directly affects blood coagulation by not having enough of a protein called coagulation factor,” he said.

He specified that there are different types of hemophilia: “we have hemophilia A, hemophilia B, mainly in most cases, it affects males. The carrier mother transmits this disorder to her son.”

He added that there are also various degrees of hemophilia, it can be mild, moderate, serious or severe, depending on how much we need this protein.
