Contagions due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus closed at 266 this Friday in Cuba, after the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) processed 7,756 samples, with a 3.4% positivity rate.
In its part of today The health authorities did not notify deaths from COVID-19 and there are 8,523 fatalities from the pandemic, since March 2020.

Of the total positive samples, 256 were contacts of confirmed cases, in seven individuals the cause of the infection was not specified and three were imported.
Camagüey reported the highest number of infections, 46, followed by Mayabeque (37) and Havana (35).
The smallest numbers continue to come from the eastern provinces of Santiago de Cuba (six) and Granma (two). Matanzas and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality also identified few cases, seven and six respectively. Guantánamo does not report any.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age is once again the one with the highest figures in 24 hours, 122 today. The behavior in the remaining groups was as follows: 44 cases between 20 and 39; 37 between 40 and 59 and 63 in those older than 60 years.
According to the MINSAP, 310 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 closed at 4,165; of these, 1,301 are confirmed active cases.
In intensive care rooms, the sum of bedridden patients was 21, 11 in critical condition and 10 reported as serious.
