The Law of Social Solidarity and Productive Reactivation sanctioned in December 2019, allows holders of retirement or minimum pensions a refund of 15% of the total amount of all purchases made with debit cards that are linked to the account in the who receive their salaries, in retail or wholesale businesses throughout the country.
The mechanism contemplates a sum of up to $1,200 monthly per beneficiaryan amount that rises up to $2,400 for those people who receive up to a death pension, provided that it does not exceed the guaranteed minimum amount.
The refund covers all food products that are marketed in retail and/or wholesale stores in mini, super and hypermarkets, kiosks and stores that are registered with the AFIP, as well as pharmacy products, provided that they are deals with the retail sale of pharmaceutical and herbal products, cosmetic products, toiletries and perfumery.
The reimbursement is made when the purchases are paid with the debit card where the person receives the allowance, pension or retirement, but it is also included when the payments are made through QR codes.
The amount to be refunded It will be credited within 24 and 48 business hours after the purchase has been made. in the account where the person receives the allowance, pension or retirement, according to the time it was made, with the debit card where the person collects the allowance, pension or retirement.
In this way, purchases for up to $8,000 per month in any of these items will receive a refund of $1,200, while purchases for up to $16,000 per month will receive a refund of $2,400 for retirees who receive up to a minimum pension.
Holders of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), the holders Pregnancy Allowances for social protection, people who receive a death pension that does not exceed the minimum and people who receive non-contributory pensions nationals that do not exceed the minimum.
The refunds corresponding to the consumption reached by the benefit appear in the account summary of the debit card with the legend “Solidarity Refund Law No. 27,541”.
