Uruguay registered this Wednesday 354 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 4,004 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The positivity rate was 8.8%, although duplicate tests are also included in some people.
Besides, there were two deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were 87 and 90 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 7,188 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There is 2,889 active cases across the country and 31 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 105 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 354 new cases, 167 were from Montevideo, 39 from Canelones, 18 from Treinta y Tres, 16 from Maldonado, 14 from Florida, 13 from Colonia, 13 from Durazno, 13 from Rivera, 12 from Cerro Largo, 12 from Tacuarembo, nine from San José, six from Salto, five from Flores, five from Río Negro, four from Rocha, three from Lavalleja, two from Paysandú, two from Soriano and one from Artigas.
All departments report infected people this Wednesday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 1,580. follow him cannelloni (336), Cologne (116) and Long Hill (114), among others.
