The National Air and Naval Service (SENAN) reported that during the period from 2022 to date, the National Air and Naval Service, through the execution of 38 operations, has achieved the total seizure of 30,915 packages of illicit substances.
Only this Wednesday afternoon they seized 401 packages of alleged drugs, apprehended 3 men and seized a speedboat, in an operation carried out south of Punta Coco, in the Las Perlas Archipelago.
According to Senana, the crew of the boat tried to flee from the uniformed men; however, they were hit and when securing the boat they were able to observe some sacks inside it.
This seizure was carried out within the framework of Operation Genesis in coordination with the Panama Naval Air Operations Center (CROAN) and the Panamanian Drug Prosecutor’s Office.
The vessel, crew members and alleged crime were transferred to the CF DEM Noel A. Rodríguez Naval Base for the pertinent proceedings.
