The Executive Bureau of the National Confederation of Transportation Organizations (CONATRA) warns that due to the government’s failure to comply with the agreements with the transport sector, a readjustment in the prices of tickets, both urban and interurban, cannot be postponed, as the only way to lighten the “heavy” load that for years They carry men and women who work daily in the development of the country’s productive tasks.
In this sense, the highest body of conatra He announced that in the next few hours he has called an emergency meeting with the president of the union, Antony Marsto whom they raised the urgent need to readjust the prices of the tickets, because “The government is not complying with the agreements signed with the transport sector and therefore they cannot cover the operational costs due to the high costs of fuel, lubricants, parts, tires, plus the cost they must cover in workshops, when one of their units suffers some damage”.
“Everything has skyrocketed in its prices and we who work day and night without resting in our units that also progressively deteriorate, we cannot bear the heavy load and all this, the government does not comply with the agreements, that is why it makes an increase in ticket prices imminent”, said the Executive Bureau of Conatra.

Among other agreements, the government promised to subsidize with 48 pesos for each gallon of diesel for buses and minibuses that consume that fuel, but to date it only delivers the equivalent of one week of work, while the remaining three weeks, the transport operators work with great losses because the government is not fully complying with its commitments.
According to the highest body of Conatra, the Government also promised to expand the amount and coverage of the Bono-Gas card to our affiliates who operate their units with propane gas (LPG), but has not complied either, which is why they said they were desperate and on the verge of quitting for the shortcomings that have them overwhelmed with debt.
The Conatra Executive Bureau warned that as the government fails to comply with the agreements, in the emergency meeting called in the next few hours, they will have no other way than to propose to the president of Conatra, Antonio Marte, an urgent readjustment in the prices of both urban and inter-urban tickets. , so that he, in turn, informs President Luis Abinader of the bitter situation they are going through.
