DR expands connectivity to Canada adding 50,000 new seats

The Minister of Tourism, David Colladoannounced that it has achieved agreements with several airlines Canadawhich will provide 50,000 additional seats on the routes that operate between that country and the Dominican Republic.

As indicated in a press release, the airline Air Transat will open four new routes, which will connect Canada with Punta Cana, Samaná, Puerto Plata and La Romana during the high season of 2025, which will increase the connectivity of Canadian cities with Dominican ones, with 15,500 additional seats.

Likewise, it was reported that the airline Sunwing will add seven frequencies during peak season, which will add almost 30,000 new seats.

“For Dominican Republic It is vitally important to continue strengthening relationships with these airlines Canadians who trust our market, and who have contributed to making Canada continues to consolidate itself as the second most important country in issuing tourists to Dominican Republic“said the official.
