The National Assembly reported that it is preparing a burning chapel to say goodbye to the former prosecutor and former vice president of the Republic, Isaías Rodríguez, who died at 82 years of age.
Parliament made the announcement about the event through its Telegram channel.
On Sunday afternoon, the death of Julián Isaías Rodríguez, who was a promoter of the revolutionary process in the country and is remembered as the prosecutor of dignity, was announced in Caracas.
Given the news, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduroexpressed that Rodríguez was an impeccable man, loyal and consistent with the just causes of the Venezuelan people, “a brave revolutionary.”
“I remember him in those days of April 2002, when he firmly denounced the coup d’état against Commander Hugo Chávez, which was decisive in fueling the revolutionary rebellion that would rescue institutions and democracy,” the president highlighted.
Rodríguez was part of the constituent assemblies of 1999 and 2017, he was the first executive vice president of Venezuela under the 1999 Constitution, attorney general of the Republic and second vice president of the National Constituent Assembly, convened in 2017, as well as ambassador of Venezuela in Italy .
