According to an official statement, the appointed team reflects “political commitment, training, a history of social militancy and a transformative imprint, aligned with the community, participatory perspective and strong territorial presence” that will guide the management of the next period.
The document highlights that the cabinet is made up of seven women and three men, with an average age of just over 40 years, in an integration that combines intergenerational perspectives.

The people designated to occupy the national directorates of the ministry are:
- General Director of the Ministry’s Secretariat: Dr. Ximena Muñíz.
- National Director of Territorial Management: Mag. Mercedes Clara.
- National Secretary of Care and Disability: Dr. Susana Muñíz.
- National Director of Social Development: Lic. Nicolás Lasa.
- National Director of Social Protection: Lic. Daniel Gerhard.
- National Director of Data Transfers and Analysis: Juan Martín Fernández Vallo.
- Director of the National Women’s Institute: Dr. Monica Xavier.
- Director of the National Food Institute: Lic. Micaela Melgar.
- Director of the National Youth Institute: Eugenia Godoy.
- Director of the National Institute for the Elderly: Lic. Marianela Larzábal.
Upcoming activities
In the coming days, the first meeting will take place between the designated minister, the future undersecretary Federico Graña, and the entire management team. At that meeting, other appointments will be announced that will complete the ministry’s organizational chart.
