María Fábrega, spokesperson for José Raúl Mulino, referred to the unconstitutionality claim against his candidacy, saying that until yesterday there were 55 allegations in favor of the constitutionality of the candidacy.
He said that only three of the allegations have been against. However, he said that the arguments in favor are based on the fact that Mulino’s candidacy is a matter exclusive to the Electoral Tribunal.
“In the event of the absence of the president or vice president, the constitution establishes that the Cabinet Council appoints a minister in charge to fill the president’s position,” Fábrega said.
