Darwin Machis, "motivated and excited"

The Venezuelan striker Darwin Machis has declared this Friday that he wants to go to the World Cup 2026 with his national team and that for this he needs to offer a “good performance” in his new club, the Cadizwho arrives on loan from Valladolid.

Darwin Machís, 30, will complete his second spell at the Cádiz club, with whom he already played in the Second Division in the 2018-2019 season, and was presented this Friday at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium as a new player for the Cádiz team.

The Venezuelan striker said that he hopes “to have a great season”, to later see if he can go with Venezuela to the World Cup in Mexico-United States-Canada, which “will come alone”; and he added that he arrives “motivated and excited” and that he considers himself a “more mature and calm” footballer, that he chooses “better” when he makes a decision.

Regarding next season, he recognized that the team from Cádiz should have more success against the opposing goal than last season and that they should continue to be “solid”: “I think we are going to score more goals and for that we are working,” he said.

Regarding his previous stay at the Cadista club, he stated that he believes he did well and that “he was very happy, very comfortable with the fans and his teammates”, which helped him develop his football.

Throughout his career, Darwin Machís has played in the Spanish league for Granada, Hércules, Huesca, Leganés, Cádiz and Valladolid, while in Portugal he played for Vitoria de Guimaraes and in Italy for Udinese.
