The National Institute of Statistics (INE) opened a job call for which it offers fees for $ 525 thousand. The position in question is that of data analyst, to carry out technical statistical tasks within the framework of the 2023 Census.

The work, which will be done remotely and sometimes at the INE offices in Montevideo, in the event that it is required for work meetings, must culminate with several product deliveries. In each of the deliveries, 25% of the salary will be paid.
The contract will be made on a consulting basis and the analyst must collect and process data, ensure its integrity, interpret it and analyze problems. Also databases must be processed and design dashboards, census viewers. It is estimated that there will be around 50 views, including screens with interactive elements, graphs, tables and maps. In addition, they should develop dashboards interactive population, households and dwellings with tables, maps and graphs.
four deliveries
In the first installment, the analyst must deliver a data model for the preparation of displays and a draft of the first displays. It has an estimated delivery date of July 31.
In the second instance, with an estimated date of August 31, the delivery of 50% of the displays will be requested.
By September 30, the delivery of procedure documentation and preparation manuals will be requested, as well as 75% of the viewers.
And by October 31, in the last installment, the visualizers finished and in production will be requested.
exclusive requirements
For the selection, it will be exclusive to have a bachelor’s degree revalidated or recognized by the University of the Republic or tertiary level institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, or be an advanced university student, with a third year pass or 180 credits.
In addition, the INE is looking for people with a minimum of two years experience in tasks related to data processing, with experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Superset or similar (to demonstrate this experience it will be necessary to present examples or products ), and with experience in advanced SQL.
