Deputies of the Permanent Commission of Economy, Finance and National Development of the National Assembly held the first day of the public consultations that they will develop to debate the Law for the Development and Production of Craft Beer.
On this first day, they met with manufacturers and entrepreneurs in this field at the Norte del Sur company, located in the El Hatillo municipality of Miranda state,
Deputy Orlando Camacho, expressed the importance of this law that will strengthen the production and development of craft beer.
“The Commission came to promote the debate and learn about the craft beer production process. The transformation of raw material into finished products is essential for strengthening the national economy,” said Camacho.
Camacho highlighted that there are currently more than 80 producing companies that represent new players in the economy, seeking to increase production, improve tax benefits and strengthen sanitary regulations.
For his part, Deputy Fernando Bastidas assured that this bill is being debated by producers and entrepreneurs who are going to make their experiences known throughout the country.
“We started this deployment from the El Hatillo municipality of the Miranda state, to learn about the experience of this productive unit. We want to strengthen this legislative instrument to boost our economy and strengthen these production processes”.
Bastidas assured that this sector is booming and is essential to diversify the economy and not depend on purely oil income.
This space for dialogue included the participation of Fermín Moreno, president of the Association of Craft Brewers of Venezuela, as well as representatives of the producing companies Cervecería Mantuano, Cervecería Yanqui Víctor, Cervecería Tovar, Cervecería Aldarra, Cervecería Los Altos de la Montaña, Aurelio Brewery, Regional Brewery, among other producers.
