Venezuela sympathizes with Thailand for massacre in a childcare center

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its solidarity with Thailand, after the massacre registered this Thursday in a daycare center, which left 36 people dead.

Through a statement published on the website of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs; Venezuela expressed its support for the initiation of the investigations, in order to learn “the facts that led to this reprehensible act of violence, whose main objective was innocent children.”

In the incident, 24 children died and 12 were reported injured.

According to preliminary investigations, the attacker is a 34-year-old former police officer, and he also killed members of his family.

Later, he took his own life.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha ordered the head of the National Police to “expedite the investigation.”
