NEW YORK.- Several Dominican institutions dedicated to the collection of non-perishable products for the victims in the Dominican Republic recently affected by Hurricane Fiona thanked the fluid help from their compatriots and different organizations that have said they were present.
Cirilo Moronta, president of Fundación 809, and Michael Peralta, president of the Altagracianos USA Committee (CAUSA) and AIB in this city, are in charge of the collections.
Moronta said thank the community for the support. “We have received and continue to receive aid, and we have no words to thank you.”
He added that donations must be taken to the same collection center, located at 112 Dyckman Street (site of restaurant 809) in Upper Manhattan, and will be received until the next day 14.
Meanwhile, Peralta spoke in the same terms, adding that there are still several days to go before receiving the aid, urging his countrymen to continue at the same pace as they have done so far.
