They dismantle a group of 14 people dedicated to micro-trafficking

A group of 14 people, including 10 women, allegedly dedicated to the sale, custody and distribution of illicit substances, were apprehended this Tuesday, September 27, 2022, after the “West 22” operation, carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor for Related Crimes with Drugs of Panama Oeste and the National Police.

It was learned that this criminal group has two women (sisters) who appear as leaders, in charge of coordinating, together with their collaborators, the logistics for micro-trafficking.

According to the investigations, they operated in the provinces of Panama and West Panama, and had telephone communications as their modus operandi to coordinate all logistics for the sale, reception, distribution, custody and security of illicit substances.

They will be taken to a hearing of guarantees, for the imputation of charges for the alleged commission of the crime of assembly and conspiracy to commit drug-related crimes, to the detriment of society.
