Movistar accompanies the Cimarronas at the inauguration of the first professional water hockey field in Uruguay

Movistar supports different disciplines of Uruguayan sport, promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging amateur and professional athletes to enjoy the benefits of exercising and healthy competition, both locally and internationally.

“We have accompanied the Uruguayan Hockey Federation for more than 6 years, supporting all male and female categories, promoting the professionalization of this sport. We are proud to have a professional water hockey field in Uruguay and it is an honor for those of us who are part of Movistar to have collaborated to make this possible. After the official ceremony, the Rio de la Plata Cup match took place, played between the Cimarronas (Uruguayan team) and the Leonas (Argentine team), world runners-up.

Movistar authorities were present on the occasion; Sahir Ahmed, president of the International Hockey Federation; Sebastián Bauzá, Secretary of Sport; Julio Maglione, president of the Uruguayan Olympic Committee.
