A soldier was detained at the Citizen Service Point located in Taborda, Puerto Cabello municipality, Carabobo, where they seized 3,000 7.62X39mm caliber cartridges destined for rifles, according to military sources.
The detainee was registered as Jonathan Gutiérrez López, Lieutenant Commander of the Bolivarian Navy, who was driving a Jeep Cherokee vehicle, plate AD240YA where he was transporting the cartridges, they were confiscated.
Gutiérrez López was assigned to the Compañía Anónima Venezolana de Industrias Militares (Cavim) and they used to ask for his collaboration to transport batches of ammunition.
