On Wednesday the 17th, the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP) authorities requested the Ministry of the Interior to vacate the premises of the Artigas Teachers Institute (IPA) and centers of the Teacher Training Institute and the Teacher Training Council that were being occupied by the student unions, demanding a larger budget for education and rejecting the process of educational transformation
The Ministry of the Interior acted during the night and the police personnel proceeded to evict the premises occupied by the unions, which was done peacefully.
Legislators from the Broad Front were present at the study centers to give the best guarantees to the operatives. Likewise, the director of Coexistence and Citizen Security of the Ministry of the Interior, Santiago González, accompanied some of the evictions.

However, after the Ministry of the Interior proceeded to evict at least nine educational centers in the country that were being occupied by education training students, this Thursday the 18th, some unions decided to occupy the Regional Teacher Centers (CERP) of the North , in Rivera; and the Southwest, in Colonia, which had not been occupied on Wednesday.
The Teacher Training Institutes (IFD) of Maldonado and Florida, the Regional Teachers Center of Florida, Atlántida and Las Piedras, were also occupied this Thursday.
However, most of the study centers occupied this Thursday were also evicted by the police, before noon this Thursday.
