The ministry of Public health notified yesterday 190 positive cases new covid-19 in the last 24 hours, for 1,516 active, a considerable decrease. No deaths were reported either.
According to bulletin 879, daily positivity hovers around 21.39 percent. In the last 24 hours, 1,590 samples were processed, 1,270 through PCR and 320 through antigenic tests, according to the report from the General Directorate of Epidemiology.
Hospital occupancy is 81 beds, out of a total of 2,373, for 3.4 percent.
While the occupied ICU beds are 17, out of 585, for 2.9 percent, according to the report, and there is only one occupied fan out of 469 for a percentage of 0.2.

The demarcations with the highest number of new cases are the National District with 72, and the Santo Domingo province with 53.
In addition, the authorities reported zero new cases in Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San José de Ocoa, Santiago Rodríguez, Sánchez Ramírez, San Juan, Samaná and Pedernales.
Similarly, the provinces of Baoruco, Barahona, Dajabón, Elías Piña, El Seibo, Independencia and Espaillat did not present new infections.
Meanwhile, in La Vega, La Altagracia and La Romana there were eight, five and four new cases.
The official report also indicates that in Santiago, the authorities reported 22 new infections and in the southern province of Azua two cases, which indicates that the incidence of the disease continues to decline.
