The Bolívar and San Martín International Colloquium: Bicentennial of the Guayaquil interview, installed on July 25 at the Bolivarian National Guard Military Academy Theater in Caracas, continues this Tuesday to exchange knowledge about this decisive meeting in the history of Latin America.
The activity, which brings together 10 countries and is organized by the Simón Bolívar Study Center and the “Memory and Heritage” History Network, will run until July 27. The event also includes the presence of members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
The president of the Association of Latin American and Caribbean Historians (Adhilac), George Elijahdeclared that the official inclusion of Venezuela in the block of historians is necessary and satisfactory.
“Yesterday we formalized the constitution of the Venezuelan section of the Adhilac because we believe it was necessary, That is why we feel proud and satisfied”, said Elías.
He highlighted and thanked the participation of the Venezuelan professors from Adhilac for contributing to the development of the historian’s work in Latin America.
Likewise, he expressed that meetings such as the Colloquium Bolívar and Martí are important to learn about other views of history, especially among countries closely related to the history of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.
«As a Colombian, I represent here the other part of Bolívar’s biography. One reads the biography of the Liberator and says ‘born in Caracas and died in Colombia’, I represent that other part », he said.
