Data from a survey published by the Venezuelan Observatory of Social Conflict (OVCS) highlights that, during the month of May this year, 38.3% of the users who use the domestic gas service through cylinders consider that the frequency with which the recharge service arrives is not enough to reach cover their most basic needs.
According to this survey, 73.3% of Venezuelans have gas service through individual cylinders, 8.4% have common cylinders in buildings and premises, while only 18.1% have gas through of pipes. Maracaibo is the city with the largest number of residences that have direct gas.
OVCS data revealed that the most common recharge frequency is once a month (35.3%), followed by once every three months or more (20.6%) and 13.3% receive recharge once a month. once every two months.
In 4.6% of cases the service does not reach the community.
This is how the percentage of people by city who indicate that recharging the gas cylinder is not enough to cover their needs is distributed as follows:
38.3% of the users of domestic gas cylinders indicated that the frequency of recharging they received is not sufficient; the majority pointed out that four members of the same family depend on the recharging of this service.

According to the OVCS study, 48.0% of the users in the 12 cities that use individual cylinders of domestic gas, said they had 10-kilogram cylinders, the second most used presentation was occupied by the 18-kilogram presentation (27 .2%), in third place the cylinders of 43 kilograms and in last place those of 25 kilograms.
