TSE and anti-corruption movement sign agreement against disinformation

Six governors leave office to contest October elections

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and the Movement to Combat Electoral Corruption (MCCE) signed today (19) a cooperation agreement to combat disinformation during the 2022 elections. TSE and anti-corruption movement sign agreement against disinformation

With the measure, the MCCE, which is composed of 70 civil society entities, will become part of the permanent program to combat misinformation commanded by the court.

During the duration of the cooperation, the entity undertook to carry out awareness-raising activities on the harmfulness and illegality of the dissemination of false content and to promote discussion on topics related to democracy, human rights and the importance of Electoral Justice.

The TSE confrontation program has 154 registered entities and also has a partnership with digital platforms, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp and TikTok, news checking agencies, political parties, journalistic and telecommunications companies.
