25-year-old woman was arrested as an accomplice to homicide in Bocas del Toro

A 25-year-old woman, charged with the crime of aggravated intentional homicide, for her participation as a primary accomplice, was ordered provisional detention after the Homicide and Femicide Section of the Bocas del Toro Regional Prosecutor’s Office, At a hearing before the Superior Court of Appeals, he managed to confirm the precautionary measure.

The prosecutor, Juvencio Caballero Solé, maintained that the circumstances by which a Guarantee Judge ordered the detention had not changed, due to the existence of procedural risks for the investigation, being admitted by the Magistrates who confirmed the measure granted by a Guarantee Judge in the first instance. .

The investigated event occurred on August 28, 2021, in the Empalme park, Changuinola district, when individuals carrying firearms proceeded to shoot the 21-year-old victim, in multiple parts of her body, causing her death.

The Homicide Section, together with the security forces, managed to obtain the evidence that proves the crime and the presumed relationship with said person, managing to establish the deception suffered by the victim, by the accused, who summoned him to the Empalme Park, where subjects with firearms were waiting for him, who proceeded to shoot him.

After the fact, the accused left the province of Bocas del Toro, for which multiple procedures had to be carried out, until finding her location in the province of Chiriquí.

For this fact there are already three people charged with the crime of homicide and with a precautionary measure of provisional detention.
