2022 may be the bloodiest year in recent history in Colombia: Venezuela

The Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Félix Plasencia, made a call to the United Nations and its Secretary General, António Guterres, to take steps to guarantee life and safety in Colombia after registering four massacres in 10 days.

Through his social networks, Plasencia estimated that “if we continue like this, 2022 will be the bloodiest in recent Colombian history. Which is saying a lot, in view of the humanitarian tragedy of 2021. We cannot continue to be silent ”.

According to the Foreign Minister, the action of the United Nations is necessary “to protect the brother people of Colombia from the institutionalized violence promoted by the misrule of Mr. Duque ”.

This call occurs after Indepaz will report four massacres in the first 10 days of 2022 and count 96 massacres during 2021 what they leave 335 victimsIn addition to this, since the signing of the peace agreement, 171 social leaders, ex-combatants and human rights defenders have been assassinated.
