You can still register your ID for the 2022 presidential elections

You can still register your ID for the 2022 presidential elections

If you did not manage to register your card to vote in the legislative elections on March 13, this information is for you: you have a new opportunity to register it and be able to vote in the next presidential elections on May 29.

(See also: Abstention on election day remained above 50%).

Remember that it is only necessary to register your ID if you changed cities or
place of residence to be assigned a new nearby polling place.
Otherwise, you should not carry out the process again, since the Registry assigns each citizen a point close to the registered place of residence when they requested their ID for the first time.

The deadline for registration is until March 29.

HOW TO REGISTER THE ID?

You can perform the procedure both virtually and in person.

In case you prefer to do it virtual, you must enter the website of the Registry and enter the section ‘Change of polling station’.

But if you prefer to do the paperwork in person, you should go to the Registry point closest to your home, between 8 am and 4 pm and do it there.
