This is due to a “atmospheric depression” that began in the southeast of the country, and that generates winds between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 80 km/h. According to Inumet, the wind “will be gradual” from the southeast to the east of the country.
The situation falls within the warning of the Institute for the days of May 16, 17 and 18which have “very strong winds, heavy rains and drop in temperature”in addition to a possible “unusual cyclone” on Tuesday morning, they detailed. For this Monday they warn that “Rainfalls will mainly affect the south of the Negro River, being more intense in the southern and eastern coastal strip of the country.”
