Given the situation Gianni Paulino president of the foundation, stated that she requested a meeting with the National Council for the Aging Person (Conape) in search of answers and they told her that the foundation is poorly rated for operating as a day stay with 25 older adults, for this reason they proceeded to reduce the budget
“It is surprising how the institution does not recognize the work that the foundation has been doing, and the evident ignorance of the qualifying body to classify our work; Despite everything, we are very sorry to have to suspend such a beautiful project whose results have been visible and measurable, ”he said.

He said that with the qualification exposed by Conape, he does not leave his astonishment because the foundation obtained a 97 score on their executionsas in the neatness of the management of the funds, for which Paulino affirmed, that the reduction of the budget is not justified and a smaller subsidy does not allow to cover the commitments programmed to develop the program planned for this year.
He highlighted that some of the programs suspended due to lack of budget are the Christmas Charity Raffle and the dinner that the institution holds every year during Christmas, in which they deliver food boxes and perform artistic activities to Hundreds of older adults without resources.
As well as the suspension of execution of dentists, nurses, service personnel, lawyers and doctors, who worked hand in hand with the foundation.
Paulino spoke during a meeting with older adults belonging to the institution and work personnel, who expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision, and asked President Luis Abinader to intervene with solutions so that the elderly can fully enjoy the festivities.
