World Athletics Championships in Cali: Colombia achieved a national record in relays

Fourth day of Under 20 World Championships in Athletics in Cali. The competition had several Colombian athletes in action seeking to reach the different finals for the dispute over the medals. However, luck did not accompany all national athletes to succeed.

The women’s relay team made up of María Alejandra Murillo, Marlet Ospino, Melany Bolaño and Laura Martínez 4×100 advanced to the final and achieved a national record with a time of 44.34.

In the men’s category, the coffee growers gave the surprise. Carlos Flórez, Óscar Baltan, Yerlin González and Ronal Longa won their series and reached the final of the 4×100 Relay on Caleño soil.
