The Minister of Labor, Verónica Navia, confirmed this Tuesday that the payment of the bonus must be made until December 20, 2021 and employers have until December 31 to present the forms that demonstrate the cancellation of the benefit.
“Indeed, until December 20, according to the instructions of the General Directorate of Labor, until that date the payment of the bonus corresponds, and until December 31 the employers have to present the forms that verify the payment of that benefit”, he said in an interview on Bolivia Tv.
He explained that all workers can access the bonus. In the case of public service, the civil servant must have at least three months of work and in the case of workers with the quality of workers, at least one month of permanence in their work source.

He added that, in the event of non-compliance with the payment of this labor benefit, the cancellation of double the amount of the Christmas bonus corresponds.
He commented that there are agreements between employers and employees so that the payment can be in two installments or others, however, these agreements are not approved by the Ministry of Labor; but there is no opposition to them either.
“The bonus corresponds to a full salary, it is not subject to any discount,” he said.

In the event of non-compliance with labor rights, workers can go to the departmental labor headquarters to present their claims or file complaints.
Government allocates Bs 2,613 million
The General Treasury of the Nation (TGN) will allocate 2,613 million bolivianos to cover the payment of the Christmas bonus to public servants, including workers of public companies, as well as rentiers of the Contribution Distribution and Compensation System.
The Ministry of Economy and Public Finance complies with the payment of the Christmas bonus to the public sector as a whole, and trusts that these resources will help boost domestic demand to reactivate the economy.
