“Our right to decide must be full,” they launched.
In addition, they demanded a comprehensive health policy, with a sufficient budget, so that public hospitals carry out legal, free and safe pregnancy terminations.
“We are not satisfied with abortion going from being clandestine to being precarious, we consider that it should be treated as a problem of public health and social inequality, since it is poor and working women and pregnant people, many of whom are migrants and young people, who are forced to go to clandestine and unhealthy clinics, putting their health and lives at risk,” they stated.
Demonstrations are also being held in other states of the country demanding the decriminalization of abortion. Collectives organized protests and other activities in Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Colima, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Puebla and Yucatán, where they chanted the slogan: “Motherhood will be chosen or it will not be!”
