The Trujillo Trial Court 1 issued a 29-year prison sentence against María Crecencia Márquez Delgado for causing the death of her newborn baby, the Public Ministry reported.
This event happened on January 19, 2020, at the residence where he lived, located in the Alto de Cabimbu sector, Urdaneta municipality, Trujillo.
According to the investigation, in the morning of that day, Márquez Delgado was in the last period of pregnancy, when she had a vaginal delivery without medical assistance in the bathroom of her home. Observing that the girl was born alive and crying, he wrapped her in her clothes until she was suffocating. The fact was discovered two days later, the prosecution said.
