The Executive Committee to Fight Trafficking rescued 3,246 people from situations of sexual or labor trafficking between 2020 and 2022, 40% after raids and the rest due to the 4,385 complaints that were made to line 145, highlighted the organization, which assured that it was able to comply with 92% of the policies that were proposed in that period.

The report of the Committee headed by Gustavo Vera also highlights that granted 2,285 “Accompany” programs to women and LGTBI+ victims for sexual and/or labor exploitation and that 688 subsidies were granted from the National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (Renatre) for labor exploitation and 330 for Empowering Work.

The report also highlights the creation of the “National Program for the Reparation of Rights and Strengthening of Labor Skills for those affected by the crimes of trafficking and exploitation of persons”in which for a year and with remuneration the victims are trained in trades to later promote their inclusion in the labor market.

At the same time, the creation of the program for access to housing solutions coordinated by the Federal Housing Council that was developed in Santiago del Estero, Catamarca and Buenos Aires was emphasized.

During this period, 552 job trainings were also carried out, in which 66,156 people participated and 120 ordinances were carried out, including the work quota for victims and dissemination of line 145.

The Committee will present the new 2022-2024 plan to the Federal Council in Chaco at the beginning of next month, which will be subdivided into 4 main axes based on actions of prevention, assistance, persecution and institutional strengthening.

Some of the objectives of the next biennial plan include: strengthening access to housing for victims of trafficking; strengthen training, inclusion and access to work plans for victims of trafficking; expedite the operation of the Trust Fund for the reparation of victims; guarantee specific assistance mechanisms for victims of trafficking with disabilities; build specialized shelters for victims of trafficking in each region of the country.
