A 46-year-old woman, apparently blinded by jealousy, ended the life of her partner by stabbing him several times in the body and, perhaps, after reflecting on what she had done, she made several calls to a relative of the deceased today, during the early hours of the morning. . Later, with the same knife, she tried to take her own life by cutting her neck.
Although the victim’s relative did not answer the call, the woman left a voice message in which she asked to be forgiven because she had taken Máximo’s life.
The events were recorded between last night and early this morning, since the family member, seeing the message during the day, called other relatives to accompany him to the residence of Máximo Ruiz Martínez, in Residencial Mirador del Coco, located in Potrero Grande in La Chorrera.
When they arrived at the place the doors of the residence were closed, no noise was heard, so they called the police and they opened it with force to discover both completely bloodied bodies in one of the rooms.
Máximo’s lay lifeless, while María Teresita Ovalle was dying, with weak vital signs; Therefore, she was transferred in a patrol to the Nicolás A. Solano hospital and after being stabilized she was taken to a medical center in Panama City.
Although María Teresita did not live in the place, she only went from time to time, some relatives who came to the place indicated that she was a partner of Máximo, since she had left her husband with whom she had children to live with the deceased in the sector of El Progress and then they moved into this sector.
