Woman is found dead in her home in Villa Reconciliación, Managua

A citizen identified as Lisseth Suarez Orozco34, was found dead this Saturday morning, October 29, inside her home, located in the Villa Reconciliación neighborhood, municipality of Managua.

Witnesses affirm that the woman’s body was found by one of her three children, a 15-year-old teenager, who forced the door of his mother’s room when he noticed that his mother did not answer the calls.

“We realized that her own relatives found the girl dead, as they had not seen her and the room was locked, so one of her children opened the door, broke it down to see what was happening, meeting her mother dead,” a neighbor told national media.

The inhabitants of the area presume that the victim’s partner is the one who committed the crime the night before. The man identified as Ramiro Jose Urbina He is “disappeared” as is their daughter, a two-year-old girl. “He is not there and he took the girl, he cannot be expected from another person,” the neighbors commented.

A patrol from the Managua District VI Police went to the scene for the respective investigations. At the moment, he has not provided further details of the crime.

According to accounts, Lisseth and Ramiro lived together for about two years. The suspect is originally from Juigalpa, Chontales, and allegedly used drugs.

National media indicate that he is a former prisoner sentenced to 21 years in prison for the crimes of murder and robbery, but after spending 13 years in the Juigalpa Prison he was released. In the record of the young man it is also said that he is a fugitive from justice in Costa Rica, where he allegedly committed a robbery, for which he returned to Nicaragua.

The Catholic organization for the Right to Decide registers 47 femicides until the month of September, a figure that is close to the 56 cases registered in 2021; as well as 120 frustrated femicides in this same period. Four days ago, a new case of violence against women was registered. María Cristina Meza Flores, 28, was found dead in her house and with multiple signs of violence on her body. The incident was reported in the municipality of Siuna.

However, the Police assures that there has been a “10% reduction in femicide crimes, two victims less than in the previous period -2021-“.
