After a month without winning in the Brasileirão, Flamengo wants not only to resume the path of victory in the championship, but also to break a 26-year fast without beating Massa Bruta. The good news is the return of Pedro, Arrascaeta and Everton Ribeiro – ceded to their national teams – who returned to training with the team last Thursday (29). Coach Dorival Júnior will be able to select the three players alongside Gabigol in attack. Vidal, who was in the Chilean national team, should be among the starters. The coach will also have at his disposal Everton Cebolinha and Marinho, already released after serving automatic suspension in the last round against Fortaleza.
Among the absences are João Gomes, Léo Pereira and Matheuzinho, who are suspended after the third yellow card against Fortaleza, last Wednesday (28). Erick Pulgar should be spared as he recovers from a sprained left ankle. Varela should be among the reserves.
With a 1-0 victory in the first round, Red Bull Bragantino meets Flamengo with good memories in the Brasileirão!
🗣️ “We need to remain confident and enter connected to repeat this”, said Luan Cândido, author of the goal of the match!

On the São Paulo side, Bragantino has not won the Brasileirao for eight matches. However, Maurício Barbieri’s team has a good record against Flamengo in their favor and will try to scare away the bad phase: since returning to Serie A in 2020 there have been five games, with two wins by Bragantino and three draws.
In the first round, Massa Bruta got the better of the Carioca team by 1-0, in the game that marked the dismissal of coach Paulo Sousa. The detail is that Braga lived a similar fast of victories: at the time there were nine games without a win. This was the biggest fast experienced by Massa Brutta this season.
For tonight’s game, the Bragança Paulista team has four absences: Alerrandro, Bruninho, Gabriel Novaes and Jan Hurtado, who didn’t even travel to Rio de Janeiro. Of the absences on the field, Alerrandro’s must be the most felt, as he is Braga’s top scorer in the season (alongside Luan Cândido) and main reference in attack. Bragantino’s probable lineup should be: Cleiton; Aderlan, Léo Ortiz, Nathan and Luan Cândido; Raul, Lucas Evangelista and Eric Ramires (Hyoran); Arthur, Helinho and Carlos Eduardo.
