With shots they rob more than 60 passengers returning from Puerto Maldonado to Arequipa

At least sixty passengers returning from Puerto Maldonado to Arequipa were robbed inside the bus with license plate V9x-958 belonging to the Reyna company. The robbery with firearms was carried out at around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, this on the San Gaban – Ollachea route, Carabaya province in Puno.

According to the passengers, more than five criminals placed stones on the road and managed to make the bus stop, then they shot the air and entered the first and second floors of the vehicle. After this, the hooded men asked for a merchant who sells gold, but they did not find him.

Given this, the subjects threatened the passengers and began to steal their belongings, such as cell phones, wallets, purses and purses, among other objects. There was even inappropriate touching of women.

After the robbery, the victims came to the police stations of San Gaban and Ollachea to report the theft, but the police stations were closed. The complaint was recently settled in the jurisdiction of Macusani, this located in the province of Carabaya in Puno.

“The most outrageous thing was when we wanted to file a complaint at the nearby police stations, but they were closed. One or two hours later we just arrived in Macusani and we filed the complaint verbally”, said one of those affected.

The passengers indicated that the thieves even took the memory card of the cameras that were inside the bus. Finally, after their arrival at the Arequipa Terrestrial Terminal, the administration of the Reyna company promised to grant tickets with a 50% discount to the victims. “What can we do, because we are not going to recover anything”, the victims expressed.
