Winter holidays: which were the most visited destinations

According to data from the Argentine Tourism Observatory (OAT), which acts under the purview of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), during the last Winter Break5.2 million national tourists traveled to the interior of the country.

The figure represents a 10% increase in hotel occupancy, in relation to the levels registered in the season of 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic, which, in turn, means that this year, in the Winter Break a new record in tourism was broken.

There were special activities in all provinces.

According to the report, the most chosen destinations to spend the Winter Break were the provinces of Jujuy, Salta, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero and Mendoza. Likewise, there was a high demand for employment in the towns of Puerto Iguazú, San Carlos de Bariloche, San Martín de los Andes, Villa Carlos Paz and Tandil.
