When is the day of the Biologist?
Biologist’s Day in Mexico is celebrated on January 25.
The work of these professionals is important for the understanding of the environmental problems that affect the planet. Since they spend their time studying the various forms of life that inhabit the planet, from the molecular level to ecosystems, their structure, function, development, evolution, and interrelationships.
They also provide scientific elements to determine if any event or work will have negative effects of ecological importance.
Why is Biologist’s Day celebrated?
After the creation of the College of Biologists of Mexico made up of different scientists from the National Polytechnic Institute and the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1961, every year on January 25 the Day of the Biologist and Biologist of Mexico is celebrated.
