Good news for Peruvians who wish to travel to the United Kingdom. The British embassy in Lima announced that the compatriots andThey will not need to apply for a visa to travel to the European country, which opens more opportunities in tourism, trade, cultural exchange. The announcement was made by the British ambassador in Lima, Gavin Cook, who described Peru as a friendly and ally country. He also stressed that the measure strengthens bilateral relations, facilitating visits by Peruvians to the United Kingdom.
In this sense, he reported that During the last 12 months, 4,000 visas were granted to Peruvians who traveled to the United Kingdom and that 50,000 British tourists arrive in Peru each year.
The Foreign Ministry of Peru, for its part, acknowledged and thanked the British government for its decision to abolish the visa requirement for Peruvian citizens, which it described as “a sign of trust in Peru and a recognition of the excellent level reached in the relationship between our countries as strategic, preferential and reliable partners”.
