What do Uruguayans think about the increase in retirement age, according to Teams?

72% of Uruguayans agree reform the pension system19% consider that it should be left as it is, and 9% do not know or do not answer, according to a new Teams survey presented this Wednesday in Underlined (channel 10).

In addition, a significant majority is willing to accept that with the new regime, the retirement age will have a gradual increase.

When asked about this modality of change in the normal retirement age, 37% say they agree and 24% say that although they “do not like” the eventual change, “they would accept it”. Thus, the level of acceptance of the measure, with the normal retirement age increase scheme, has 61% acceptance.

The consultation was held between June 24 and July 9, in towns with 2,000 inhabitants throughout the country.
