Sánchez questioned that the union group has chosen to suspend its operations in the midst ofl long holiday for Easter in which it is expected to generate assets in the framework of the economic reactivation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why is the air traffic controller strike happening?
The Secretary General of Air Controllers of Corpac, Victor Zavaleta, commented that they adopted this measure because they have had “several labor rights postponed due to non-compliance by Corpac officials”. The measure affects flights to Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, Juliaca, Ayacucho and Trujillo.
“We have had to reach a much more radical measure of force of this type, until yesterday we have been until late at night in the Ministry of Transport looking for a solution, unfortunately we have not reached any solution. “Seeking to mitigate the inconvenience that this can cause in the transport of our clients and protect their safety, we will offer flexibilities to our affected passengers for changes and/or returns without any type of penalty”, it reads.
