The Minister of the PresidencyJoel Santoswarned this Friday that they will not allow the attempts of the opposition to torpedo the Public Trust Bill given the obvious interest that the rules of the game of the past remain intact.
He said that certain attacks are intended to limit the development of territory. “We are not going to allow anyone to want to impede the development of the territory and the progress of our nation,” he said.
“From the Government headed by President Luis Abinader we will always be open to dialogue and consensus, but we will not fall into the trap of allowing them to stop regulating, making transparent and promoting laws such as the public trust fund”Santos warned.

He affirmed that the Public Trusts Bill that is being discussed in the National Congress seeks to guarantee the sustainable development of the nation.
Through regulations, he added, they promote transparency and security of public assets like never before in history.
“The opposite of that is going back in history,” said the official.
