The Ministry of Education and Sciences decided to declare of educational interest the undertaking called the Volunteer Program of the XII Edition of the Asu Games 2022, presented by the National Secretary of Sports.
According to the resolution, the ASU2022 Games will create “a suitable space to strengthen and promote among higher education students and other participating citizens, civic responsibility and service in the face of a laudable undertaking, in such a way that Paraguayan citizens advance as change agent”.
The Volunteer Program contemplates a process of recruitment, selection, general and specific training, accreditation, delivery of uniforms, food and a special recognition at the end of this international multi-sport event. It is aimed at people over 18 years of age who commit themselves without expecting any return to an organized action to serve the community.
In this way, a great step is taken in organizational matters, especially in the Volunteer Area, taking into account that, without the volunteers, the realization of an event of such magnitude would not be possible, for this reason, they are called “the heart of the games”.
The XII South American Games ASU2022 will take place from October 1 to 15, will cover 38 stages, 34 sports disciplines, 53 modalities and will host more than 6,800 athletes and officials from the 15 member countries of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR).
