Volcán Barú National Park will be the scene of the Adventure Race Panama

Starting on February 20 and until the next 27, Panama will be once again in the eyes of world tourism; and the Volcán Barú National Park (PNVB) is one of the destinations in which 22 teams from 15 nations will be present at the Adventure Race Panama.

In the sports crossing, in which the best athletes in the world participate, three modalities will be developed: mountain trekking, mountain biking and sea kayaking.

The event will be inaugurated at 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 19, at Parque Domingo Medica, district of Boquete; The next day at the Los Llanos Checkpoint, located in the Paso Ancho district of Tierras Altas, the participants start the Great Game at nine in the morning.

From there they will climb in mixed teams, following the trail to the top, then descend through the Boquete district leaving through the Camiseta Checkpoint; there they will change their discipline, they will travel by bicycle to the district of Gualaca, then trek to Las Vueltas, Kayak to Yurre, bicycle to El Pito.

In another part of the race, the teams will arrive at Puerto Playita in Kayak to start trekking towards Cambutal passing through the Cerro Hoya National Park, then through the Islas Cañas Wildlife Refuge and culminating their journey in Pedasí, Los Santos province.

The agenda contemplates touring a large part of the province of Chiriquí, then moves to the province of Veraguas and ends in Los Santos, in this contest they will travel more than 500 kilometers between forests, sea and panoramic views with cool and pleasant weather.

The event will be monitored by units of the Joint Task Force (FTC).

Adventure Race Panama (AR Panama), an international event that will attract nearly 600 visitors from around the world, in addition to the 22 teams of athletes that will compete in this adventure race that integrates various disciplines such as trekking, walking sessions, cycling mountain and kayak.
