This Wednesday the daily life of Medellín was interrupted by an event that mourns Antioquia. A mass movement presented in the afternoon Las Playas village of San Antonio de Prado townshipnear Medellin left two people dead, one of them a minor.
The Mayor of Medellin, Daniel Quinterospecified that the deceased are a 30-year-old woman and a two-year-old minor, who were in a house near the place where the landslide occurred, southwest of Medellin.

The avalanche caused the plugging of the Doña María creeka tributary that also crosses the Municipality of Itagüí, south of Valle de Aburráand has generated several flash floods.
