Vice President Rodríguez supervised recovery work on the Metro

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, supervised this Friday night the work being carried out for the recovery of the Caracas Metro, as part of the “El Metro moves with you” plan.

The tour was made through the facilities of the Gato Negro, Agua Salud and Caño Amarillo stations, corresponding to Line 1 of the Metro System.

In this regard, the Executive Vice President toured the refrigeration plants of said stations, according to a press release from the Vice presidency.

Maintenance work is being carried out at the Refrigeration Plants, with the aim of enhancing the air conditioners and the air conditioning systems of the stations.

Similarly, he toured the facilities of the Gato Negro station, where restoration works are being carried out.

On the other hand, they supervised the work carried out at the Agua Salud station.

In this station, maintenance and recovery works are carried out, among which waterproofing, plumbing of floors, paint removal, among others, stand out.

At the Caño Amarillo station; the internal areas of the underground system were inspected.

The Executive Vice President makes these tours, accompanied by the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez, who expressed his commitment to recover the 48 stations that make up the Caracas Metro System.

“We are committed to complying with the instruction of the president @NicolasMaduro to embellish the 48 stations of the @metro_caracas to provide better service, security and mobility to the people,” Velásquez wrote on the social network Twitter.

The works are carried out with crews from different institutions.

In this regard, the president of the Caracas Metro, Juan Du Boulay Peroz, pointed out that workers from Petróleo de Venezuela (PDVSA), Sunagro, contribute to the recovery of the facilities of the stations that cover the section from La California to Palo Verde.

At the beginning of September, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, launched the Metro Plan It moves with you! , for the total recovery of this transport system.

To carry out the works, the Venezuelan head of state approved 150 million dollars and 16 million euros for investment in rails.

Similarly, to carry out the cleaning days of the Metro System, 365 cleaning operators remain deployed in the 48 Metro stations.

Meanwhile, more than 140 workers are in charge of reengineering, replacement of parts and maintenance.
