In search of the pentacal championship, Dutchman Max Verstappen performed well this Saturday (19), in JEDA, and will start in the first position in the GP of Saudi Formula 1 Arabia. The Red Bull rider made the best lap in classification training, followed by Australian Oscar Pastri of McLaren and Briton George Russell from Mercedes.
Verstappen’s return that earned him the pole position (1min27s294) was only 0s01 faster than Pistri (1min27s304). The two riders, who are in the fight for the title of the season, benefited from the leader in the table, the Briton Lando Norris of McLaren, who will start only in the tenth position. After four tests, he adds 77 points, three more than Pistri and eight more than Verstappen.
Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, Sauber, did not perform wellrunning in one of its laps, and ended in the 20th and final position in the classification.
The Saudi Arabia GP will be this Sunday (20), from 14h of Brasilia.
