Vera promises “immediate reversal” of youth-oriented policies

The candidate for the Presidency of the Republic by the PSTU, Vera Lucia, released today (29) a video in which she presents some of the priorities of her government, if elected, for the youth – especially for the black and poor young people from the periphery of the country, victims of police violence and unemployment.Vera promises “immediate reversal” of youth-oriented policies

The candidate is in Passo Fundo (RS) fulfilling schedules of pamphlets, interviews and events of other local candidacies. In the video released, Vera said that the relationship between youth and the vanguard of the country’s great struggles is due to the fact that there are no “alternatives to the current situation” for young people.

“There are no job prospects, which imposes on them unemployment or the extremely precarious underemployment of food delivery, motoboy, call center”, said the candidate.

Vera added that the conditions of education, health, sport and culture are, for young people, “very bad, following the country’s decadence”. “In addition, police violence directly kills young black people on the periphery,” she added.

“We advocate an immediate reversal of this reality: employment for all young people, as part of the public works plan; emergency aid of a minimum wage for all unemployed youth; an end to police violence against black youth; guarantee of free and quality public education and health”, said the candidate.

She also defended investments in sports and culture “to enable the inclusion of the physical and creative energy of the country’s youth” and free internet access for all this public.
